I have long imagined that the older the individual the harder the change (hence the expression “you cannot teach an old dog new tricks”). I have mistakenly anchored this believe in an interpretation of the system entropy theory in the sense that I considered that the older the individual, the more branches are present in the decision tree. The above, in my mind, translated into more effort needed to introduce the notion of change, present benefits, start identifying the decision tree and one by one changing the way that decision tree is structured in order to finally move an “unmovable” individual into the direction of flexibility.
